About Denver's Dr. Raval, Facial Plastic Surgeon

Jeffrey R. Raval, MD, FACS is a facial plastic surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery and a fellow of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is also owner and medical director of the Rocky Mountain Laser Clinic in Cherry Creek North. In addition, even though he only has been in Denver for 9 years, he has been awarded “Best of the Best” Cosmetic Surgeon in 2004 and 2006 by the Colorado Community Newspaper Association.

Dr. Raval is a graduate of Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI and the University of Michigan undergraduate program and the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI. He completed his internships Department of Otolaryngology, Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO and his residencies at Department of Otolaryngology, Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital. Additionally, he completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Miami, FL. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Colorado Medical Society, Denver Medical Society, Arapahoe Medical Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery.

Besides performing cosmetic surgeries and non-invasive procedures to rejuvenate and restore youthful good looks, Dr. Raval volunteers at Denver Inner City Health each month and has volunteered weeks of his services treating patients in Cambodia.

Amy Raval :: Practice Coordinator, Marketing

Amy has worked in medical practices for more than a decade, six of those years spent working for Dr. Raval. She coordinates every aspect of Raval Facial Aesthetics practice and Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics, the sister laser clinic in the same building at 250 Steele St. in Cherry Creek North. Amy oversees surgery scheduling, patient care coordination, bookkeeping and office administration. She is also certified as a laser specialist.

Denise Medina :: Practice Administrator

Denise manages every aspect of the practice including human resources, finance and marketing. She has worked with Dr. Raval since 2008 and has been a practice administrator since 2000 working in medical practices for the past 13 years. She earned a bachelor's of business administration with an emphasis in finance and is certified in specific electronic medical records software.

Paula Lindsey :: Cosmetic Nurse Injector Specialist and Registered Nurse

Paula's background as a registered nurse qualifies her to administer Botox and injectable fillers. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. When she is not at Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics or with her four children, she is a recovery room nurse, which is how she met Dr. Raval more than two years ago. She is quick to point out that she enjoys learning all she has learned from working with Dr. Raval. In the future, she may go on to earn her master's degree in order to become a nurse practitioner or instead, her aesthetician license.

Debbie Thrash :: Patient Care Coordinator, Paramedical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Specialist

Debbie is certified to use the Sciton laser for multiple procedures including microlaser peels, profractional treatments and intense pulse light (IPL) laser treatments. She earned her bachelor's degree in international studies in Spanish from Colorado State University and her aesthetic license from Aveda plus further training at Colorado School of Advanced Aesthetics. She has worked in aesthetic practices for four years and for Dr. Raval since 2008. Debbie's role is to prepare patients for their procedures as well as removing stitches and splints after surgery.

Alicia Higbie :: Patient Care Coordinator, Paramedical Aesthetician, Certified Laser Specialist

Alicia began working at Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics in January 2009. She has been working in the skin care industry for more than three years and with lasers specifically, for more than one year. She was trained by Dr. Raval to earn her laser certification. She performs laser procedures including hair removal, microlaser peels, profractional treatments and intense pulse light (IPL) laser treatments. She received her bachelor's degree in speech communications with a Spanish minor from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She says knowing patients are happier when they leave than when they came in is the most satisfying part of her job.

Elisa Silva :: Medical Assistant

Elisa has worked for Dr. Raval since 2008 and is scheduled to attend Dr. Raval's School of Advanced Aesthetics at 250 Steele St. in Cherry Creek North to become a laser technician and aesthetician. Working at the front desk in this practice has shown Elsa how important superior skincare, the kind offered at Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics and Raval Facial Aesthetics offers. She particularly enjoys helping people feel better about themselves. By 2014, five years from now, Elisa plans to have completed schooling to become a Registered Nurse.

Becky Dennison :: Receptionist

Becky has been a medical receptionist since 2000. Trained as a certified aesthetician at Pickens Tech, she is also a Colorado board certified laser specialist. Becky uses her background in aesthetics when delivering expert patient care on the phone, scheduling patients for treatment and soothing any nervousness. She continues to be amazed at the incredible advances in technology in the practice of aesthetics.

Jennifer Britto :: Paramedical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Specialist

In addition to laser hair reduction, Jennifer is also certified as a Sciton laser operator and tattoo reduction laser. She performs all skin treatments including hair reduction, chemical peels, laser peels and tattoo reduction. Trained at Colorado School of Paramedical Esthetics, she has worked in aesthetics practices for more than six years. She is a certified instructor for all lasers used at the Advanced Medical Aesthetics Center (AMAC), Dr. Raval's school at 250 Steele St. in Cherry Creek North. Jennifer is currently studying to become a Registered Nurse at the Community College of Denver, wanting to expand her expertise to include injectables. She likes to create results that make a difference in people's lives.

Flora Redd :: Electrolysis Technician

Flora is a Colorado board-certified laser technician who has been in aesthetic practice for 28 years. She earned her laser certification from Rocky Mountain Laser College and has worked with Dr. Raval since he purchased the clinic in 2006. Nicknamed “Flo,” she is the single aesthetician to perform electrolysis, the proven form of permanent hair removal, at Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics.

Kelly Porter :: Paramedical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Specialist

Certified by Colorado School of Advanced Aesthetics, Kelly has worked for Dr. Raval since 2007 and has been in the aesthetics field since 2000. She earned her aesthetics license from Pickens Tech and began her career as a manicurist. Subsequently, she worked for a dermatologist and while doing so realized she would enjoy the field of aesthetics. That's when she joined Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics where she says she finds her job rewarding. “It feels good to help other people to feel good about themselves,” she adds.
