The Nose Doc of Denver, CO, Jeffrey Raval, MD FACS, performs rhinoplasty surgery on a mid-40's male patient using a new product known as Dermamatrix. This acellular dermal matrix was first introduced in 2006, and is preferred over Alloderm because it typically rehydrates quickly to a uniformly soft and pliable consistency. Dermamatrix passes USP 71 standards for sterility, plus it offers greater tensile strength and is less pliable than all prior options, making it easier for the surgeon to manipulate and offering improved longevity.
