Jeffrey R. Raval, MD, FACS
is a facial plastic surgeon and is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery and a fellow of both the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. He is also owner and medical director of Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics in Cherry Creek. In addition, even though he only has been in Denver since 2001, he has been awarded multiple awards of recognition.

Dr. Raval is a graduate of Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI and the University of Michigan undergraduate program and the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, MI. He completed his internships Department of Otolaryngology, Washington University Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO and his residencies at Department of Otolaryngology, Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital. Additionally, he completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Miami, FL. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Colorado Medical Society, Denver Medical Society, Arapahoe Medical Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery.

Besides performing cosmetic surgeries and non-invasive procedures to rejuvenate and restore youthful good looks, Dr. Raval volunteers at Denver Inner City Health each month and has volunteered weeks of his services treating patients in Cambodia.

Dr. Raval Personal Bio

Dr. Raval married Amy in 2007. They have three kids, Daniele, Matthew & Sophia. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out, running marathons, traveling, skiing, cooking and participating in his kids’ activities like coaching their soccer teams and taking Tae Kwon Do. Dr. Raval is currently working towards earning his MBA and will graduate in May 2014.

Amy Raval :: Practice Coordinator, Marketing

Amy has been working with Dr. Raval since 2003. She coordinates every aspect of Raval Facial Aesthetics and Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics, the sister laser clinic in the same building. Amy oversees patient care coordination, bookkeeping, marketing, aesthetic product ordering/inventory, office administration, & injectable training/certification. Amy will begin her MBA in January 2013. Dr. Raval and Amy married in 2007 and have three children together, Daniele, Matthew and Sophia. In her spare time, Amy values her time with her family and enjoys traveling, photography and staying active.

Denise Medina :: Practice Administrator

Denise manages every aspect of the practice including human resources, finance and daily operations. She has worked with Dr. Raval since 2008 and has been a Practice Administrator since 2000. She is a Regis University graduate earning her B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. She also has extensive knowledge in electronic medical record software. Denise enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her son in his competitive dancing.

Misti Turra :: Director of Marketing

Misti has been in the marketing field for over 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1995. After gaining a great deal of experience in print media, Misti came to Dr. Raval’s practice in 2010. She coordinates and implements all of the marketing, PR and social media for Raval Facial Aesthetics and Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics. Focusing on the growth of the business through social media and promoting the Youthful Skin Club has been especially rewarding. With a love of marketing and the aesthetics industry, this is the perfect job for her! When she’s not working, Misti enjoys daily activities with her husband & daughters.

Becky Dennison :: Front Desk Coordinator

Becky has been a front desk coordinator with Rocky Mountain Laser Aesthetics since 2001, making her a pillar of strength for her fellow co-workers and a familiar face that every patient looks forward to seeing. Trained as a certified aesthetician at Pickens Tech, she is also a Colorado board certified laser specialist. Becky uses her background in aesthetics when delivering expert patient care on the phone, scheduling patients for treatment and soothing any nervousness. She continues to be amazed at the incredible advances in technology in the practice of aesthetics. In her free time, Becky enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and family.

Shelley Sweet :: Front Desk Coordinator

Shelley Sweet worked for the United States Postal Service for over 15 years. She decided to take a leap of faith to change her career completely, following her passion and dreams of helping others look and feel better. She became a Certified Paramedical Aesthetician in 2005. She has worked at numerous Day Spa locations and decided to expand her career in the Medical Aesthetics Field at Raval Facial Aesthetics/Rocky Mountain Laser in 2009, as Certified Laser Technician/Esthetician and Medial Receptionist Coordinator. She has always been interested in Anti-Aging Remedies and staying informed with the new technologies of the Aesthetics Field. She believes to live a healthy balanced lifestyle to maintain a young mind and body.

Paula Lindsey :: RN, BSN, Aesthetic Nurse Injector

Paula has over 18 years of experience as a dedicated RN in various disciplines within both the hospital and office environments. Paula has been in the plastic surgery industry since 2003 treating patients during their recovery immediately following surgery. In 2007, Paula moved onto aesthetic nursing where she was trained and certified by Dr. Jeffrey Raval. Paula has experience with many cosmetic treatments including BOTOX®, Dysport, Xeomin, Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse. Paula is skilled in the latest non-surgical treatments and injectable facial fillers and works diligently to ensure she is current on the latest treatments and options available to her patients. Paula is known for her ability to customize treatment plans according to her patient’s needs. She will always provide an honest and in depth evaluation of her patient’s concerns and provide a comprehensive and professional plan to move forward. She is focused on how to correct what bothers her patients most. Paula received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 1993 from the University of Colorado and continues her education whenever possible. Paula has been married for 19 years, has 4 children. She enjoys attending family sporting events, traveling, running and continues PRN skilled nursing in the PACU.

Faith Marquardt :: RN-BSN, Nurse Injector Specialist and Surgical Assistant

Faith’s background as a registered nurse qualifies her to administer all botulinum toxin A and dermal filler products, including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse. She received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and maintains surgical assistant credentialing at Centrum Surgical Center. Additionally, she is certified in several aesthetic techniques such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and facial electocurrent therapy. Since matriculating to Rocky Mountain Laser Clinic, she has worked as a Nurse Injector Specialist, Patient Care Coordinator, and Surgical Assistant to Dr. Raval. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and baby girl, road biking, snowboarding, and reading.

Brooke Sullivan :: Patient Care Coordinator and Medical Assistant

Brooke became a critical team member at Raval Facial Aesthetics in 2011. Having worked in the facial rejuvenation and facial cosmetic surgery field for numerous years, her knowledge and passion for the industry is immense. As a Patient Care Coordinator, Brooke will be the liaison from the initial consultation with Dr. Raval and throughout the facial rejuvenation process. She is also responsible for coordinating care for all surgical patients. Brooke makes it her goal to ensure every patient she encounters feels welcome and relaxed when they visit the practice. With her extensive professional background, Brooke is able to educate patients on all of the anti-aging skincare and procedures the practice offers. As Denver natives, Brooke and her family actively enjoy all of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.

Cori Mitchell :: Patient Care Coordinator and Medical Assistant

Cori has over 5 years of experience in the medical field. She previously worked in dermatology, where she discovered that she really enjoyed working in facial aesthetics. She is especially mindful of educating her clients on new trends and techniques, and on what really works in the facial aesthetics world. Cori really takes her time with each individual patient to understand their needs and educate them on all the options available to them. She also makes sure that her patients have realistic expectations. In her spare time Cori enjoys cooking, traveling, working out and spending time with family.

Stephanie Wickliff :: Paramedical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Specialist

Prior to returning to Denver in 2003 and earning an Associate Degree in Paramedical Aesthetics, Stephanie spent 17 years living in the San Francisco Bay Area, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative Religion and Philosophy and a BFA in painting, sculpture and printmaking. As an artist, she views her patients’ skin as simply another type of canvas. Lasers and various skin care products serve as her tools for transforming their skin into living works of art. Stephanie strives to help her patients achieve the best possible results by understanding the benefits of specific skin care ingredients, being well informed about all of the latest treatments and procedures, and sharing this information with her patients in a caring and knowledgeable way. Stephanie also loves being a mom, a wife and an artist, and cherishes the time she spends painting in her North Denver studio, cooking, enjoying music and spending time with her family.

Davina Santoveña :: Billing Specialist

Davina joined Raval Facial Aesthetics in May 2012. As a recent graduate of Hawaii Pacific University, Davina has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual Communication. She has also taken on the task of learning all of the medical billing and coordinating all of the Youthful Skin Club memberships. When she is not in the office learning medical coding and insurance billing, you can find her either building her portfolio as a videographer and video editor or supporting her church in many capacities. She also enjoys spending time with her loved ones.

Nikki Adams :: Patient Care Coordinator and Medical Assistant

Nikki joined our team as Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant in February of 2013.  She is also a licensed Aesthetician and has over 7 years experience in the facial aesthetics industry, including 2 years in advanced medical skincare and laser technology.  Her genuine and caring demeanor offers comfort and support to our patients from their preliminary consultation with Dr. Raval, throughout their treatment and/or surgical procedures.  She enjoys expanding her knowledge and skills within the field.  Nikki moved to Colorado 5 years ago and loves the beauty and outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.  When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, rock climbing and spending time with family and friends.

Jaclyn Caruso :: Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician

Jaclyn received her Aesthetician’s license in 2009 and had been running her own business in a spa setting.  In 2012  she felt a calling to expand her education by becoming certified laser technician.  She specializes in laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation in addition to other aesthetic treatments.  She has a passion for skin analysis, laser skin rejuvenation, microdermabrasion, multiple types peels, and hair removal. Always staying busy she also works for Radio Disney enjoying the exuberance of working with kids. The most important part of her job is she loves making her client’s feel more comfortable in their own skin and strives to help everyone have beautiful skin.
