Facial Fat Transfer

One of the most successful new advancements is the fat transfer in which fat is removed from one area of the body, often the stomach, and injected into the face. Performed under local anesthesia to numb both the area where the fat is harvested and where it is inserted into the face. The fat is removed using vacuum-type suction. The fat is then processed to eliminate excess fluid before it is re-injected into the face along the lines drawn prior to surgery. Afterwards, the patient’s face is taped firmly to hold the bandages over the areas of injections. These bandages remain in place for at least two days. The effect is remarkable. The procedure takes years, a decade at least, off of your face.
