Denver, CO - Dr. Jeffrey Raval’s innovative Combo Face Lift addresses the two major aspects of aging—volume and aging—and abbreviates the downtime of a facelift to a bare minimum.
The Combo Lift includes a minor incision at the hairline in front of the ears and behind the ears where the deeper layers of skin are pulled taut. That is combined with a fat transfer to the entire face, harvesting fat cells from other parts of the body—generally the stomach or thigh areas—using liposuction. The harvested cells are then spun in a device that separates the fat cells from other liquids and the fat cells are then re-injected in small amounts into the entire face with particular concentration under the cheekbones where faces tend to become more drawn as they age.
“This is a paradigm shift in how we think about aging,” explains the double-board certified facial plastic surgeon. “We used to just pull things and now we’re realizing that a lot of the sagging and drooping that comes with age is due to lose of volume in the face and skin. So we pull a little bit and we add a little volume. The results are much more natural and result in less pain and less downtime.”
The results last seven to 10 years.
Performed in a hospital setting, the Combo Face Lift is approximately half the cost of a traditional full face lift, a number that varies among surgeons’ practices.
The recovery time from the Combo Face Lift is extraordinarily brief, compared to a traditional face lift. Dr. Raval’s patients report being up and around two days after surgery and back at work within five days once the adhesive bandages are removed.
