Captique
Captique adds back volume lost during the aging process. This clear gel containing a purified form of hyaluronic acid is the newest FDA-approved non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid dermal filler. Injected just under the skin's surface in order to temporarily correct wrinkles, Hyaluronic acid is found in the human body in the skin, cartilage, joints and the eye. Its role is to deliver nutrients, hydrate the skin by holding in water, and to act as a cushioning agent. Captique is offered by Inamed, the same company which has successfully provided collagen fillers for over 20 years. Used for maximum correction in many different areas of the face such as nasolabial folds (smile lines), vertical lip lines, marionette lines (lip corners) and crow's feet, Captique is less likely to swell after being injected and therefore may cause less swelling and bruising depending on the site and the patient being injected. Plus, Captique has fewer adverse events than other hyaluronic acid fillers on the market.
